THE POSITION

White Marsh based roll off company is looking for a few of the very best professional drivers with experience in commercial construction to drive the absolute best trucks in the industry. In 2019, our sales grew by 200% and we are projecting another 30% in 2020 so we are looking for career minded employees who want to make a home with us for a long time.

 

THE TRUCKS


The trucks are a brand new fleet of Kenworth T880 hooklifts with luxury leather heated seating, cab air suspension, Allison automatic transmission, upgraded sound systems, and truck chassis air suspension! Free uniform shirts, PPE, and outerwear included. All trucks come with dash cameras, and well as front facing and rear facing video with large in cab screens. Never driven a hooklift? Spend less time out of the truck and more time in the warmth and comfort of the heated leather seat of the truck. Hook and go makes you more productive with faster turn times meaning less work pressure. All trucks are 55,000lb hooks, so nothing legal can't be pulled.

THE IDEAL APPLICANT

The ideal candidate, must LOVE driving, LOVE customers, LOVE their trucks, and service customers like they were family. They must be willing to work hard in a relaxed environment, be comfortable with technology, and, most importantly, must be proud of their safe driving record.

 

The ideal candidate is currently working and driving a roll-off truck, or hauling heavy equipment loads. You should be very comfortable and experienced in navigating in Washington DC and Baltimore in very tight spaces.

 

You should be proud of your job, who you are, your family, and your country. You feel like your right to vote is a duty and an honor. You might like country music, but have a deep respect for all kinds of music. You might be religious, but don't impose your religion on everyone. You love to come to work because you love your work family and you may have missed 3 days of work in the last ten years. THE BENEFITS

The intent is to grow rapidly with the economy and then expand nationally in a controlled way. We are looking for drivers who want to get in with a great and rapidly growing company. Pay and benefits are excellent with a $2500 signing bonus plus full 100% paid health benefits, 92 hours of paid vacations per year, and paid holidays. Bonuses include employee referral of $1500 and commission on all business leads. Hours are expected to be 6am to 4pm daily. Uniforms are free. PPE is free and includes an allowance for boots.

THE EXPECTATIONS

Clean driving records only - if you have a speeding ticket or ANY other infraction on your record, do not apply. If you have a criminal record for violent or property crimes, do not apply. If you haven't paid your child support, do not apply. Absolutely no smokers! Must be available to work most Saturdays. While veteran status is not required, we certainly respect it. US citizen is strongly preferred, but all applicants will be considered.

We prefer those with commercial construction truck driving experience: roofing cranes, equipment haulers, vacuum trucks, etc. We are extremely customer oriented and our drivers MUST understand the customer's needs.

For the right driver, job begins immediately. Each driver has their own dedicated truck.

Responsibilities include:
Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with company policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues on standard reports.


Safely operate their heavy truck at all times in all of central and north east Maryland as well as parts of DC.


Perform regular greasing on all lubrication points.


Clean your truck daily, and brush wash it weekly.


Courteously interact with all customers. Our drivers are our best salespeople.


Identify unsatisfactory roll-off containers and tag containers in accordance with company procedures.


Continuously monitor loads for evidence of unacceptable waste.


Clean area around an accidental waste spill, ensuring adherence to all applicable safety standards and policies.


Continuously monitor the condition of the vehicle to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize downtime.


Accurately track your time through mobile time keeping.


Complete trip reports, logs, and other reports, as required.


Use a smartphone to manage your time, your daily activities, your schedule. A smart phone will be provided.


We are 100% paperless and 100% cloud-based. You MUST be comfortable with computers, understand filing systems, and recognize problems. You will be responsible for ensuring that all weight tickets are accurately scanned and uploaded.


You must be a thinker and be a creative problem solver.


Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner.


Follow all required safety policies and procedures.


The company is proud of having the best trucks in the industry and as such, drivers are expected to care for their assigned vehicles by cleaning them inside and out at least weekly. Free time is meant to be spent caring for and maintaining your truck. Maintenance includes weekly washing of your truck and greasing.


Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


The most important requirement is that you have the ability to only think about driving while driving, think ahead, and drive safely at all times to protect the public, yourself, and the equipment from harm.

THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


Two years of prior experience driving heavy commercial trucks
Class B Commercial Driver's License with air-brakes
High school diploma
Some college education or equivalent certificates is a bonus
Ability to work 40 plus hours per week with little or no missed time
Ability to lift 50lbs occasionally
Must speak English fluently, bilingual is a plus
Ability, training, and experience with construction equipment is a plus
Accident and moving violation free only
Good work history showing one or two jobs of 5+ years
